Tyson the Movie

It’s hard to know where to start with this one. First and foremost the movie was amazing.




I wasn’t sure if I was going to think it was good or I was just going to enjoy it because of Tyson’s unapologetic use of the English language. After about 15 minutes I decided that this is one of my favorite movies of all-time.

You actually come to sympathies with this man and his actions seem a little less crazy. Let us not forget the words that were used/made up:

Satisfacation – I guess a combination of Satisfaction and Gratification
Socialpath – When referring to the type of person he is not a “sociopath”
Skulldugary – I looked and I could not find this word even though Pirates may have used it back in the day, but basically when you are being shady and using dirty tactics.

There were more but I think I want some of you to be surprised by what you hear and rewind the DVD 100 times like I did.

The of course there were the one-liners. The Movie had a bunch some you may of heard and some you may not.

"How dare these boxers challenge me with their primitive skills? It makes me angry. They're just as good as dead."

"I want to rip out his heart and feed it to him. I want to kill people. I want to rip their stomachs out and eat their children. Lennox Lewis, I'm coming for you man. My style is impetuous. My defense is impregnable, and I'm just ferocious. I want your heart. I want to eat his children. Praise be to Allah!"

"(He) called me a 'rapist' and a 'recluse.' I'm not a recluse."

"I'm on the Zoloft (antidepressants) to keep from killing y'all."

"I'll fight any man, any animal, if Jesus were here I'd fight him too."

"I'm just a dark guy from a den of iniquity. A dark shadowy figure from the bowels of iniquity. "

"I guess I'm gonna fade into Bolivian."

"You scared of the real man. I'll fuck you in the and make you love me faggot!"

Wow like the made up and miss used words there are plenty more. In the end the movie did paint a clear portrait of how all over the place he is in his mind. The editing did a lot to show Mike as still lucid but clearly in need of meds. I quickly became one of favorites not only this year but also of all-time. Any movie that can make me be pissed off at Evander Holyfield the night he got his ear bit off is powerful in my book. Rent it, Buy it, Watch it and Enjoy.

P.S. If Cus D’Amato was alive 10 more years, Mike Tyson may have been the greatest of all-time.
